In the January, 1962 issue of Photoplay magazine, a condensed sans stencil font was used in the article title "Blackmail-The Man Who is Trying to Take Liz Away from Eddie".  (At the time, Elizabeth Taylor was married to Eddie Fisher and they were perfect fodder for the gossip columnists, fan magazines and tabloids.)
