A 1960 catalog brochure from Spencer Industries showcased engraved stock signs featuring a typeface they called Duquesne.  This interesting sans serif design with rounded terminals inspired Engraved Lettering JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Spencer Industries has been manufacturing business and architectural signage for over 150 years and is based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
