In the December 20, 1935 issue of The Film Daily, an ad for "Frank Buck's Fang and Claw" featured an unusual bit of hand lettering.  

The extra bold sans serif design gives the appearance of hand cut characters as if either carved from wood or stone.  This is now available as Jungle Safari JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Buck was a well-known big game hunter for his time.
