It's not often a vintage cartoon can inspire a type design, but such is the case when the name 'Daffy Duck” is hand lettered on a mailbox in the 1946 Warner Brothers cartoon 'The Great Piggy Bank Robbery” (famously being a send-up of the popular Dick Tracy comic strip by Chester Gould).
