A 1914 piece of sheet music for a song entitled 'The Gypsies Are Coming” provided the design inspiration for Mulholland JNL.

The title is hand lettered in a style which [while still in the Art Nouveau period] reflects the Art Deco era, despite the fact the 'Streamline Movement” was still over a decade away.
