Inside the pages of the April, 1937 issue of the fan magazine 'Hollywood Now” is an unusual bit of hand lettering used for the titles in a number of featured articles.

A narrow thick-and-thin Art Deco alphabet with many stylized characters, this type design is now available as Now Showing JNL in both regular and oblique versions.
