The ad in the November 12, 1938 issue of Boxoffice Magazine for the science fiction film "Mars Attacks the World" had the movie's title hand lettered in a free form slab serif design with a slight hint of Art Deco influences.

This became the working model for Reel Excitement JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
