Theater Sign

From $55  |  2 Font Family by Jeff Levine Fonts

Solid, counterless Art Deco lettering is nothing unique, but the sign shown in a photo from the October 16, 1937 issue of Motion Picture Herald took things to a different level.

The Augusta Theater (in Augusta, Kansas) used such a type style on its marquee sign, but what was unique was the parallel horizontal lines cutting through each character.

This was recreated digitally as Theater Sign JNL, and is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Fortunately, the theater still exists, and after a full renovation it is now a performing arts center... and yes, that classic sign is there as well!.
