An ad in the November 11, 1914 issue of Motion Picture News for the Wurlitzer Theate Orchestra Organ contained hand lettering drawn by a round nib dip pen in a condensed sans serif style with Art Nouveau influences.

This was the design model for Dip Pen Nouveau JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.
